DIY garbage collection in Calidonia

As the garbage crisis continues the Community Board of Calidonia held an awareness day on recycling, handling use, and disposal of waste produced in neighborhood homes. Volunteers and staff from the Calidonia Community Board welcomed the hundreds of people who brought cardboard, plastic containers, glass bottles, used cooking oil, and aluminum cans, to the Pedro J Sosa school. The representative of Calidonia, Ramón Ashby, said that at a time when the capital city is facing a garbage collection crisis activities call on the conscience of residents to make good disposal of garbage and generate health for the people.
