Panama president-elect Laurentino Cortizo, and US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, spoke on  Friday, May 10.,

Pompeo said on his Twitter account, that in the conversation the strong relationship between both countries was highlighted and the relationship is expected to flourish as they continue to work together on security issues, promoting regional stability and advocating for democracy in Venezuela and Nicaragua.
