A“ criminal” complaint for allegedly inciting and undermining public order and violating the Constitution was presented Monday, December 14, against President, Laurentino Cortizo before the General Secretariat of the National Assembly.

It was presented by the lawyer Abdiel González, who explained that the president recently made statements in which, in his opinion, "  encouraged the civilian population to violate article 183" of the Constitution, which establishes that one of their duties is to maintain public order reports La Prensa.

González refers to Cortizo's statements on December 9, in a ceremony at the Children's Hospital, where he said: “And if at some point I test positive (for Covid-19), from the hand of God I'm going to raffle, but I'm not going to stay at home ... I like to go out, see people, talk to them ”.

“The Nation requires a leader who has a balance in the face of the situations that are occurring in the country. Hence, in addition to the criminal complaint, we also respectfully request the deputies who think about the country, make a referral to be referred to Forensic Medicine for a psychological evaluation, so that they can tell me if the President Laurentino Cortizo is fit and in full balance of his mental faculties to continue leading the nation, ”said attorney González.
