Civil defense monitoring rising rivers, flooded homes

Heavy rains on Tuesday, August 22 as a result of the indirect effects of tropical storm Franklin, have caused the growth of rivers such as the Mamoní in Chepo, which is kept under surveillance.

The National Civil Protection System (Sinaproc) reported on social networks that are being monitored and watched over the rise of the Mamoní River towards sector 3 of Las Margaritas de Chepo.

Sinaproc reported the assessment of damage to some 30 homes, in the district of Las Margaritas de Chepo and in Las Garzas, district of Panama.
