The captain of a boat loaded with medicines with no health records, intercepted National Border Service (Senafront), in the Guna Yala region, is in preventive detention for the alleged commission of crimes against public health.

The judge ordered the release of 12 other people who were in the boat, as the defendant admitted to being responsible for the medications.

The judge granted the Public Prosecutor a period of six months to conclude the investigation
