Ban the Bomb activists arrive in Panama

Four leading activists of the World Without Wars and Violence (MSGSV)  who are on a world tour that began in  Madrid in September are in  Panama as part of the Second World March for Peace and Nonviolence.

Rafael De La Rubia , the founder of MSGSV, is accompanied by Sandro Ciani , Juan Gómez and Pedro Arrojo .

The activists, left Madrid, on  September 21 and their last stop  was Costa Rica, the country that prompted the adoption by the United Nations in 2017 of the Nuclear Weapons Prohibition Treaty. They will be three days in Panama before leaving for Colombia.

They will  finish their tour in Spain in March.

The documentary “The beginning of the End of Nuclear Weapons was presented at the University Cinema, at the University of Panama .

 on efforts to incorporate a treaty banning nuclear weapons into international law and the role of the International Campaign for the Abolition of Nuclear Weapons

It focuses on The Treaty on the that had the backing of 122 states, but was not ratified by the powers that have nuclear weapons. Panama signed in 2017
