Panama’s   National Aeronaval Service (Senan)  seized 1,517 packages of suspected alleged drugs worth $90 million on the international market inside a container in the Port of Cristobal in the Province of Colon.

The Europe bound cargo had been reported as sacks of coal but the illicit packages . were hidden inside 46 black cases.

The drug’s final destination was  Turkey, via  Rotterdam, Holland. According to the Drug Prosecutor of Colón and Guna Yala Eduardo Rodríguez. on  the arrival of the drug in Europe, the value per package would be $60,000  in the market of the criminal organizations linked to drug trafficking."

According to Senan  Deputy Commissioner Luis Rodríguez, said He stressed that this is the 27th successful operation of the Aeronaval service in 2019 and the largest achieved to date.

The force w Senan has confiscated a total of 12,853 packages of illicit substances, in  14 vessels and apprehended 33 suspects.
