The COVID-19 pandemic  forced Nearly 75,000 students who enrolled for the first semester 2020 of the University of Panama (UP),  to 19 to begin virtual classes ton  Monday, April 20., The rector Eduardo Flores Castro welcomed  students to the 2020  academic year on Twitter

"This has led us to reinvent ourselves to continue training quality professionals and the generation of knowledge that the nation will require in the near future," he stressed. The rector said that non-face-to-face pedagogical methods will be used at the moment for the training of students.

Meanwhile, he asked for the commitment of teachers and students to make the most of the academic opportunity.
