A seven- year- old child was found alive in a wrecked car on Friday, Feb. 15 with the bodies of four family members who were reported missing on Wednesday.

The vehicle was found by units of the National Border Service (Senafront at the foot of a cliff,  in Fila de Cal on the road that leads from Rio Sereno to La Frontera de Paso Canoas

The Senafront patrol saw track marks leading to the cliff edge and when they stopped they heard a child cry.  They gave first aid to the boy and a Senafront ambulance took him to  

Pablo Espinoza polyclinic in the Bugaba district. His condition is still unknown.

Firefighters Senafront and other rescue teams removed the bodies of Mirka Miranda, 30; her son Abdel Atencio, 10, years Romi Miranda, 59; Julio Martínez, 60. The survivor is Asbel Atencio, 7.

Initially, authorities had the dead people listed as missing after the husband of Mirka Miranda and father of two children had filed a complaint when they failed to return to their residence in Flor de Dolega, after a family visit in Río Sereno in Renacimiento.
