José Raúl Mulino, the candidate of Realizing Goals and Alliance, became the new president of Panama this past Sunday.  Around 8:50 pm, Mulino received the call from Alfredo Juncá accrediting him as president-elect of the Republic of Panama.  Stationed in his campaign center at the Sheraton hotel, the former minister, accompanied by his family, answered the most anticipated call and ratified his commitment to work for the good of the country.  "It is an honor for my family and friends to receive this call. It implies an enormous weight on my men that I receive with pleasure and with the conviction of giving my best. It has been a very difficult campaign, full of all kinds of obstacles and other things trying to boycott a legally constituted party from participating, because a small group didn't feel like it," Mulino said.
