At least 10 Ten doctors have died from COVID-19 in Panama until Wednesday, July 22. including three pediatricians.

Former Health Minister Miguel Mayo warned that the loss of valuable doctors will further exacerbate the challenges due to lack of personnel in the Panamanian health system which is desperately searching for doctors and nurses as the number of active cases and hospitalizations continues to surge

Doctors are among the groups most exposed to the  and  are demanding  the necessary protective equipment, and  calling on the population to follow the sanitary recommendations to avoid further infections
