Nurse Violeta Gaona de Cocherán, 59, who works in the Intensive Care Unit at Santo Tomas Hospital  became,  the first person in Panama to receive  the vaccination against Covid-19   on    Wednesday, January 20 .in a ceremony witnessed by President Larnursingentino Cortizo. 

She is on the front lines  in the battle against the new coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 (the virus that causes Covid-19). She began her  nursing career 37 years ago
