Levels  of new infections in the third wave of covid-19 are near those at the height of the first wave but while pressure increases on ICU’s there are fewer deaths as new cases spring from a lower age group.

The Ministry of Health (Minsa) confirmed 1,160 new cases and 10 deaths on Friday. July 9 There are 12,927 people in home isolation and 708 hospitalized, of which 124 are in Intensive Care

The epidemiological report details that since the beginning of the pandemic,   6,614 have died.

The Minsa reiterated to the citizens to avoid crowds and clandestine parties to avoid new infections of the virus.
