Health Minister warns Panama on edge of covid third wave
Health Mister Luis Francisco Sucre reiterated on Friday, June 4 that Panama is on the cusp of a third wave of covid-19 based on data recorded for three weeks.
The official's message also comes a few hours after he and his work team announced a change in the Panamanian vaccination policy with the AstraZeneca vaccine.
After knowing new scientific evidence and the results of studies in the United States and the United Kingdom on the AstraZeneca vaccine against Covid-19, the Government decided to extend the interval to receive the second dose up to 12 weeks.
