THE 25^TH ANNUAL NATIONAL Cleanup of Beaches, Rivers and Coastal Areas, brought out hundreds of volunteers across Panama on Sunday, September 25.

The activity started at 7 a.m. in different parts of Panama City and the interior.

The event is aimed at raising awareness about the need to better protect the environment.

September has also been marked as a month to raise awareness of the need to protect ocean resources.

The next planned activity is Friday September. 30 with an ocean forum organized by the Smithsonian Institute.
