OVER 10,000  thousand eggs of different marine  turtle species will be protected y  an artificial nursery at La Marinera beach, Guanico in in the Los Santos  

The nursery was built by students and teachers of the Technological University of Panama (UTP), Azuero.  

It is a project for the conservation and protection of some 9,800 eggs per season, said Juan Carlos Rivera, one of the members of the group promoting the work  He said that they did activities to collect the funds and buy the material for  students of the different faculties and the personnel of the Ministry of Environment  who participated.  

It is a nursery for 50 nests per planting. Two sowings per season are made, so there will be 100 nests on average.
