Central American games committee crisis talks

 The Organizing Committee of the Central American and Caribbean Games  Panama 2022 will be meeting at the Presidency on Wednesday, February 6. Henry Pozo the Committee chairman said he requests and expects the presence of Mario Pérez, director of the Panamanian Institute of Sports (Pandeportes) which has been the center of a corruption scandal involving equipment paid for and never received by sporting bodies.

In a message on his Twitter account, Pozo said the meeting is confirmed but stressed that he expects the attendance of the director of Pandeportes.

 In "In a Tweet to President  Juan Carlos Varela he said: “It would be appreciated if  it  pleased Mr. Mario Perez to attend the meeting,"

In recent days, Panama has been asked to catch up with the organization of the games with reports circulating that funding has not been received and Panama's role as host being jepordized.
