Panama’s  Civil Protection System (Sinaproc) via  the Emergency Operations Center (COE) warned on Thursday, August 20, after a day of steady rainfall, of more to come with  three days   of unstable weather conditions combined with  high tides

A prevention notice said  that the rains are the result of the transit of Tropical Wave # 30 over our country.

"According to the Directorate of Hydrometeorology of ETESA there will be rains during the next 72 hours and the meteorological conditions will remain very unstable due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone, low-pressure systems and the passage of the Tropical Wave,” said Sinaproc.

the National Emergency Operations Center continues surveillance and monitoring system at the national level and reiterates that until Tuesday, August 25, a warning for maximum tides will be in force, so those who live on the coasts should avoid going beaches and if there is a risk of flooding, switch off the electrical power and evacuate to a high area.

Boats, should avoid setting sail if the sea is very choppy.
