Six lawyers and a formed notary have been arrested during raids as part of an investigation into alleged irregular land registration.

The National Police also reported:  "Seven people have been apprehended by units of the National Police Intelligence Directorate, due to their possible connection to the crime Against Economic Patrimony and Against Public Faith."

"These are people who allegedly appropriated by deception 42 hectares of land located in the community of Chorrillo, province of Veraguas."
