Panama sets date for 2020 national census

Panama will hold a national census on Sunday May 24, 2020 at an estimated cost cost  of  $35.8 million said Comptroller General, Federico Humbert , on Wednesday,  June 12.

It is estimated that 120 census takers will be displaced throughout the country. and the delivery of preliminary results is set for July 2020.

"The goal is to have a certainty in the quantification of the population and the number of existing homes in the national territory," said  Humbert. "In addition to obtaining the necessary data to make Panama continue to grow," Our nation has a lot of experience but on this occasion we want the census  to have the greatest depth and quality"
