Panama’s , gross domestic product (GDP) grew 3.7%, representing an amount of $478.7 million says a report from The Comptroller Ganeral.

GDP totalled in the country represented an amount of $41,693. billion,

The transport, storage and communications category registered an annual increase of 7.3%, driven by the operations of the Panama Canal , which grew 7.5%.

Telecommunications activity grew 4.1%, due to the increase in demand for mobile telephony and internet services, cable television and messaging.

The agricultural sector increased by  only 1.8%, was due to low rice, sugarcane and vegetables production,
