The world’s largest container ship HMM Algeciras, , with a capacity of 23,964 TEU (unit equivalent to a 20-foot container) is sailing under the Panama flag but is too big to pass through the new Canal locks. The vessel was launched on April 23, at a ceremony headed by South Korean President Moon Jae-In and many South Korean dignitaries, reports the Panama Maritime Authority (AMP)
