COVID -19  1,166 new cases, 27 deaths

With 1,166 new cases of COVID-19, the cumulative total in Panama reached 38,149, on Sunday, July 5 and 27 deaths brought the total to 747 since the virus first struck on Mach 9. 

The Health Ministry reported 18,420 people in isolation, 17,759 at home, and 661 in hotels. Hospitalizations reached  996 with  153 in ICU. A search is underway to recruit additional nurses including 50 intensivists.
