The transport technology platform Cabify, has announced that it will stop operating in the Panamanian market on November 8. Cabify was founded in 2011 in Madrid and arrived in Panama in 2016. It will continue to operate in 86 other Latin American countries.
The article said..."It will continue to operate in 86 other Latin American countries." Can you name them? I'm only good for 20
I hate taxis here. No meters and they just try and charge whatever they can. The rate sheets don't mean shit either. Great Idea Oh ya! I also think paying attention to the driver. If he makes a call or messages after you get in the taxi it's higher risk. If you speak spanish fake a call to a friend and tell them you are in taxi # ... and will be there soon. The driver will then know that he's been made if something happens to you. Always look at taxi # before getting in. Never let them pick up other fares along the way. That's how they get accomplices in the car. Taxis here are dangerous but in the current environment it's even more so. Stay safe!
When ifirst got here and did not have a car i used taxis. To get the upper hand get in the back seat and then slide over behind the driver. It makes it hard for him to do anything and really puts him on edge because you are now in control. Old taxi driver friend up home told me that
Very safe service much safer than taking a kidnap taxi here in Panama. Sadly the PRD Socialists are going to chase out many more companies. We are becoming the next Venezuela.
It was a good service. Provide price competition to Uber and taxis. Another casualty of the misguided lockdown strategy.
Well there you go. Leaving before I even heard of them or what they do. So i gather there thing never caight on here
