More new flights from Panama

Dutch Antilles Express (DAE) became the 32nd airline to offer services from Tocumen International Airport on Saturday (Oct 16).

It is offering a Curacao-Panama route twice a week. Passengers can now fly to 54 destinations from Tocumen, with direct flights to Toronto and Tokyo promised for early 2011.
Floris Van Pallant, chief executive DAE, said that Tocumen figured high in the business plans of the airline as i9t brings thousands of of tourists from North, Central, and South America that would find Curacao an ideal destination for relaxation and shopping."
Located in the Caribbean Sea, Curacao has 444 square kilometers and is known for its pristine beaches and numerous casinos.
From there the airline offers connections to Bonaire, Aruba, St. Maarten, Venezuela, Colombia, and the Dominican Republic.
DAE will use a model Fokker 100 aircraft with capacity for 100 passengers. Flight time is approximately 90 minutes.
