San Carlos District Council has upped the rate for parking at local beach areas cover increased costs, for garbage removal and the cleaning of public toilets.

Cars will pay $5, vans $7 and buses $10. while motorcycles will be charged $2.

The increased fees will be collected at La Ermita, San José, La Ensenada, Las Uvas, El Palmar and El Higo.

Free parking will still be available at Punta Ratón, Playa Grande and Punta Barco.
