Another long weekend
The holiday marking Panama's independence from Spain will be moved from Nov. 28 to Nov. 26 so that it falls on a Monday said President Ricardo Martinelli on Tuesday, October 30.
He said that that all civic and official commemorations will be held on Nov. 26.
He also ordered the closure of national and local government offices from noon on Nov. 2 to mark the "Day of the Dead."
