Classes in schools in many regions in and around Panama city will be closed on Wednesday July 18 following damage to a water pipeline leaving the areas without potable water.
The damage to a 60 inch pipe was caused by a contractor’s bulldozer at 5 pm on Tuesday in Villa Zaita.
The water and sewage authority Idaan said the repairs which started at 6 pm, would take at least 12 hours.
Areas affected are Hato Pintado, El Cangrejo, Betania, Los Ángeles, El Crisol. San Miguelito, Chilibre and Las Cumbres and Buena Vista.
