A total of 36 giant panda cubs born in 2017 made their first public appearance on Friday,Oct 13 at the Bifengxia and Shenshuping bases of the China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda in southwest China's Sichuan Province.

So far, 42 giant panda cubs have been born this year, the highest recorded amount of births since the breeding program began. Among them, there are 15 pairs of twins.

Seventeen panda cubs were on show to the public at Bifengxia base in the city of Ya'an. And 19 cubs made their appearance at Shenshuping base in the Wolong National Nature Reserve. The youngest of the cubs is only one month old, and the eldest is about five months.
