TWO, CLOSE associates of former President Ricardo Martinelli, connected to the network of corruption cases under the previous administration have sent letters from abroad to the Department of Immigration granting permission for the mothers of their children to travel abroad through 2017 to any destination.

Btesh and Calvo left the country some months ago, at about the  time that they were connected to the corruption cases. Calvo has been accused of distributing kickbacks from a government contractor while Btesh is the business partner of the main defendant in that case.
Btesh has also been linked to irregularities in the collection of back taxes.
Immigration Director Javier Carrillo said permission has to be granted by both the father and mother in order to take a child out of the country, reports La Prensa.
Calvo and Btesh have not formally been charged. The investigation in both cases is still continuing.
Calvo is believed to be Miami and Btesh in Israel.
