A 62-YEAR-OLD  woman teller was shot and killed during a bank robbery in the Chanis branch  of the Banco General on Friday, February 10.

Four  hooded men who arrived in a white car, entered the branch carrying weapons  at 1.30 pm

While the thieves  were robbing the bank and customers, a bank security officer opened fire  and an exchange of shots followed.

Alina Xiomara Ibaldy who had worked for Banco General for 20 years, was hit and died instantly   One of the thieves hit the security guard on the head, knocking him to the ground.

He is reported in stable condition.
