Team effort to combat illiteracy

A LITERACY program "never too late to learn" has been launched in Panama with the collaboration of multiple groups and linked to the proposed Expansion and Improvement of Water Supply and Sewerage Services of Panama. 

Registration of workers who have not completed studies or cannot read or write has already reached 188 and 68 have started the program, which is driven by Odebrecht Infrastructure, through the Drinking Water Project (Works Group 2); in partnership with the Ministry of Education (MEDUCA), the Specialized University of the Americas (UDELAS) and the National Police.
The Literacy classes are taught in Escuela Ciudad Jardín Las Mañanitas, Monday through Thursday at night and in daytime hours on Saturdays.
