Sinaproc warns avoid beaches until May 7

A WRNING  oof waves of up to 3 meters  and a strong undertow along Panama’s Pacific Coast has been issued  by  the Civil Protection System (SINAPROC).

The  agency  says  the alert will be maintained from April 29 through May 7  and the population,  is warned to pay  special attention to rising tides  and the presence of high and frequent waves at any time and to obey  warning notices.

Sinaproc warns people to stay away from beach areas because of possible sudden tide surges  and to comply with the recommendations of the security departments.

The National Emergency Operations Center (COE),  will monitor vulnerable areas  like  Puerto Caimito (West Panama), Playa Leona (West Panama), El Salado de Aguadulce (Coclé), Puerto Armuelles (Chiriquí), Boca La Caja (Panama City), Gonzalo Vásquez Island (Panama).
