Second multiple killer of expats caught in Darien

A heavily armed suspected killer of two expats  in Panama, has been arrested in Darien.

Border patrol officers found Spanish citizen, Javier Martin, in the Darién, Monday evening,January 14. He is wanted in connection with two murders.

He is the second suspected multiple murderer caught in Panama in the last 12 months. Wild Bill" William Dathan Holbert, is sitting in a Chiriqui jail, under investigation for the killing of five expats he had befriended in Bocas Del Toro. His wife is also in jail, but Holbert said she had nothing to do with the murders, perpetrated to gain possession of properties.

Martin was being sought for questioning in the disappearances of U.S. citizen Don North and in the death of Jean Pierre Bouahard of France.
North has been missing since January and Bouhard was found murdered this month. Both men were boat owners with vessels were in the Caribbean side of Panama.

Martín was nabbed in Puerto Lara. According to police at the time of his arrest, he was carrying numerous weapons, including a revolver, a shotgun and a Glock pistol. He also had a large amount of cash and a credit card belonging to North.

Prosecutor Dimas Guevara said that Bouahard's body was found floating in the sea near Portobello on February 4 His feet were tied and he had been shot in the head.

North went missing on Jan. 10. His nephew, Ezrha North, said his uncle who was planning to go to Colombia early in the year and had hired Martin to assist him.
