Panama citizens rally to pay CONCACAF fine

THE MONEY collected during a Panama City blitz “Football is Played With Dignity” to raise the money to pay  the fine imposed on Panama’s Football Federation, by CONCACAF, will be handed over on Wednesday, July29.

 

The $15,000 fine was imposed because of a sign displayed by the Panamanian team after a controversial Gold Cup semi-final defeat by Mexico, due to bad refereeing. The campaign was driven by La Prensa, Mi Diario La Estrella de Panama, El Siglo, FOX, RPC, TVN and TVMAX and will be handedto the Panamanian Football Federation (Fepafut) during a  press conference in the boardroom of Corporation La Prensa (Corprensa).
When the match ended, on July 22, players were photographed in the dressing room with the message "CONCACAF thieves" to emphasize a "theft" in the match and the word corrupt appeared three times beneath the phrase three times General Bank and Global Bank donated the time to count the contributions collected on Monday.
