One dead three injured in highway shoot out

One person was killed and three injured after a shootout, on the Trans-America highway between Arriajan and Chorrera on Saturday afternoon, August 23..A white Tucson brand car heading towards Panama City was hit at Loma Cova, Arriajan.

After being shot in the driver Ricardo Hernandez lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the barrier that divides the four lanes of the highway.
Police reported finding more than a dozen bullets, in the body of the car.
The National Police (PN) set up checkpoints along the highway , and in El Chorrillo in Panama City where they are investigating the alleged links of Hernandez with a gang in that sector.
A similar incident happened last May in the of Loma Cova area when two men ravelling in a car were shot.reports La Prensa.
