FORMER MILITARY dictator Manuel Antonio Noriega has moved to new lodging’s only days after being released from his prison cell to house arrest with one of his daughters who told a judge that she would ensure he abided by the house arrest rules.

Now he has moved  from the house of his daughter Sandra Noriega  so she can attend a conference in Colombia, to that of another daughter, Lorena Noriega,

Compliance Judge Robiero Sánchez accepted the request filed by Ezra Angel, Noriega's lawyer, who argued that Lorena Noriega was in a position to host her father temporarily.

In support of his request, Ángel presented Judge Sánchez with a note sent to Sandra Noriega, inviting her  to take part in  a conference  to be held in Colombia.

Lorena Noriega submitted a statement saying she could care for her father.

Prosecutor Patricia Herrera and the public defender of the victims, Afranio Carrera, did not oppose the request.

Noriega had originally been released to the custody of Sandra Noriega after being released from prison earlier this month to prepare for brain surgery. Th esurgery has been delayed until March 7.

He had been in jail in the USA, France and Panama since his arrest during the  1989 American invasion

Noriega, 83, is serving sentences for the killing  of Moises Giroldi (1989) and  Doctor Hugo Spadafora (1985) and for his role in the Albrook Massacre, when Major Giroldi and nine other officers recently back from a UN peacekeeping mission, were executed after a failed coup, Their legs were reortedly smashed with a baseball bat before they were shot. An 11^th officer was tortured and died in prison.
