A  MULTIPLE COLLISION involving four vehicles on the Pan American highway in Santiago  caused one death and one injury on Saturday , May 28. The latest death bring the total for the first five months of 2016 to 196.

Professor Patricio Guevara, 68  former director of the Professional and Technical Institute of Veraguas (IPTV)  was killed  his car was struck by two vehicles. His grandson Didier Batista who was traveling with him, was injured.

The sedan driven  by Guevara was hit on the left side by a pickup truck  and on the right side by a Toyota Tercel which in turn was hit by a taxi.

Guevara was taken to hospital Luis "Chicho" Fabrega, but died minutes later
