A group of Mi Bus drivers allegedly pushed  by  recently hired operatives,  held a protest on Thursday, February 11 at the company's headquarters in Ojo de Agua, San Miguelito.

Lenín Vargas, a representative of the drivers, said that they are unhappy with the amount of compensation that they will receive once the company becomes 100 percent public.

Vargas said that the amount should be more than the $13 million that has been announced.

Ministry  of Labor official Samuel Rivera said that the government has been transparent in sharing the details of the compensation package with the drivers.

The official said that the protests have been organized by members who will receive a small amount in compensation because they are recent hires. The transfer of operations will take place later this month, reports La Prensa
