Martinelli secretary denies funneling PAN kickbacks

CHICHI ADOLFO DE OBARRIO, who said he is still private secretary to former president Ricardo Martinelli, called a press conference on Monday Nov. 24 to deny claims from a protected witness that bribes from the National Assistance Program (PAN were funneled through him while he was at the presidential palace
"I have not received a penny," replied De Obarrio when questioned on the the accusations made by the complainant in that he received in his office at the Presidency, "kickbacks" called for in the PAN. He was accompanied by his wife and lawyer Edna Ramos.
He attributed the claims to political persecution accusations and warned that these were intended to hurt Martinelli reports La Prensa
He said he owns a beach house in Vista Mar Golf & Beach Resort in San Carlos, and owns shares in the Wokin restaurant, which has branches in Obarrio and Costa del Este.
He did not mention, that he owns an apartment in PH Icon Tower in Coco del Mar or explain his $100,000 wedding splurge at the Trump Tower. His salary before deductions was $5000 a month.
