SPECIAL ROUTING of traffic on the highway to and from Panama West began at 12 noon on Thursday, November 2 and will remain effective through the long weekend until November 6 to cope with the scores of thousands of vehicles expected to leave Panama City, heading for the interior.

Some 25,000 police and emergency service personnel will be on duty across the country, and hospitals are operating a green alert.
