Faced with a long list of pending legislation members of Panama’s National Assembly have been told that all foreign missions, joy rides or legitimatem have been suspended.

The word comes from José Muñoz, President of the National Assembly.
According to Muñoz, the suspension is a way to ensure that the Assembly handles all pending business by Oct. 31, when the current legislative session ends. This includes the budget and the six laws that were formerly part of the "Law 30" reforms.
"If necessary, we will meet on Fridays and Saturdays," said Muñoz.
