LAWYER Sidney Sittón will defend Supreme Court Judge Alejandro Moncada Luna, facing charges of unjustified enrichment now being investigated by the National Assembly.
Sittón told La Prensa that he has already requested a copy of the records from the General Secretariat of the Assembly so he can prepare a defense for his client.
PRD Deputy Pedro Miguel González is the prosecutor in the case.
Sittón currently serves as a counsel to the majority of the CD candidates who face electoral charges of using state resources for campaign purposes.
The complaint against Moncada Luna was filed by the Executive Board of the Colegio Nacional de Abogados. It is based on the judge's purchase of two apartments valued at $1.7 million despite his monthly salary of $10,000.
