A  43-YEAR OLD Irishman gunned down as he was about to board his Ford Explorer van in Punta Pacifica last week  is now in detention.

The High Court of Appeals ordered the 60-day interim  detention of Noel Donovan, pending his extradition to Spain, where he has pending criminal cases.

A police source said that he has several judicial orders against him in  the Spanish justice, and there is an outstanding arrest warrant

Thie man was shot  by two men on a motorcycle as he was about to board his vehicle in Punta Pacifica, near the Multi Plaza.  He was hit by three bullets.
