Leaders of the Ngäbe Buglé indigenous community of Bocas del Toro. Panama   have given the government an ultimatum and denounced the government’s failure to install a roundtable to review Executive Decree 537 on the region’s charter, despite having committed to doing so in the Bocas agreements.
Pedro Ábrego, an indigenous leader, warned that "if between now and Monday, an answer to this request is not received,” the currently dialogue process on Law 30 would be duly affected.
He said it is necessary to discuss the decree because it was a document that was adopted without consultation.
