FOUR MEN were arrested following a noon shootout between police and narco-traffickers in the parking lot of the El Rey Supermarket on Via Espana on Thursday, May 21. 

The Narcotics unit of the National Police and the Drugs Office were conducting a joint surveillance operation which prevented an exchange of drugs.

The drug dealers were attempting to leave the parking lot when the police surrounded the vehicle. When the police called for them to stop the gang members opened fire. At least one person was injured according to a police source, and several parked cars were hit.
After the arrests the police found traces of cocaine in the vehicle, Investigations are continuing.
