THE SEASON  OF GIVING, opened in David, Chiriqui on Saturday Dec 3  with a day long activity  enabling donations of food and other items to make Christmas baskets for children with leukemia  and cancer and their families.

The  event “Fanlyc Casaton”  is organized annually by the Foundation Friends of the Family of Children with Leukemia and Cancer, (Fanlyc)

dry food, toiletries and other products to make Christmas baskets for the 143  affected children and their families in  Chiriqui and Bocas Del Toro.

Donations  were made Donations at Super Barú in Doleguita, Chiriquí Mall, Dorado Center and in Romero, in Parque Doleguita.

30 volunteers were on hand  to give advice  on what items t donate.

Fanlyc supports some 650 children with cancer throughout the country, offering them support with treatment, lodging or transport to attend  medical appointments.

Each treatment lasts approximately three years and the cost per child can reach $50,000.
