COMMUNICATIONS problems at Tocumen International Airpor, billed as The  Hub of the Americas, continued into Thursday Dec 15, causing suspension of dozens of flights.

The Civil Aviation Authority said it was continuing to work to resolve the technical problems in communication which began around noon on Wednesday,

"This is a problem of data communication," said Authority Director Alfredo Fonseca Mora. "Mitigating measures have been taken”, and it was expected that the systems would be working by late Thursday afternoon.
