Ex- Panama dictator's condition critical

PANAMA’S former military dictator Manuel Antonio Noriega, is in critical condition in Hospital Santo Tomas.

Doctors gave the  information during a  control visit of compliance judge Roberto Sánchez on Wednesday Mar.b 22 . Noriega was released from El Renacer prison to undergo brain and has been in an induced coma in ICU since March 7.

He suffered bleeding after surgery to remove a non-malignant  brain tumor.

The judge went to the hospital accompanied by an interdisciplinary team, made up of a social worker, a psychologist and an assistant of the penal system Judicial Office.

Two of Noriega’s three daughters were  present during the visit Lorena del Carmen Noriega and Thais Noriega.

Doctors Luis Carlos Bravo and Critzel Sanjur told the judge that Noriega does not have a favorable prognosis and requires a mechanical ventilator, antibiotics, and nutrient support.
