A DAUGHTER of one of the “star” witnesses in the former National Assistance Program (PAN) scandal has been arrested and has been detained since Tuesday afternoon at the headquarters of the Department of Judicial Investigation.

Loraine Brigitte Guardia Juarez is accused of money laundering. Her father Director Rafael Guardia Jaén is detained in El Renacer prison and has been identifying senior Martinelli government officials, including the ex-president himself, for their alleged  roles in the multi million dollar scamming from the pulic purse.
She is being investigated by the fifth anti-corruption prosecutor, who is investigating the movement of funds that were allegedly paid as bribes to the former PAN director, who had admitted to many of his crimes and handed over some $20 million hidden in local and overseas banks.
